Platinum Fibre’s, Fabufill polyester ceiling insulation solutions provides the most cost-effective insulation solution. The thickness of the ceiling insulation is generally unrestricted, allowing very high levels of thermal performance, if required.

The first layer of polyester ceiling insulation is laid between the ceiling joists to the same depth as the joists themselves, with additional layers being laid at right angles over the top of the ceiling joists, with all edges butt jointed to prevent thermal loss. A 50mm gap is required around heat sources such as downlighters to ensure that heat from the source can escape. Larger gaps around much higher heat sources maybe required.

Fabufill polyester ceiling insulation is easy to install in a ceiling, as this range of SABS approved polyester insulation is non-allergenic, non-irritant and resilient insulation does not support the spread of flame, (Class B/B1/2 fire rating).
